ExtendMySeat.com – Toyota Prius 2004 to 2009 Brackets Review

After buying my wife a bigger car now that we have two boys, I inherited a 2008 Toyota Prius.  I’ve been driving a regular-cab Chevy Silverado 5.3L V8 since I can remember, so migrating from 16mpg highway to around 40 is nice.

The Prius however, is one uncomfortable car to drive.  I’m 6′ tall and am cramped in the driver’s seat…so I search around on Amazon and viola!

The ExtendMySeat brackets give you about 4″ more room to slide the seat back, so I dropped $225 (yeah, expensive) on a set of brackets.  Install was easy – you pretty much remove 4 bolts, install the brackets, then bolt the driver’s seat to the new brackets.  The whole process (with no directions) took about 30 minutes.

The brackets will let me extend my seat so far that I can’t even drive the car, so they certainly do what they advertise.   I’ll drive around for a few days now and make a decision.
